Dear everybody,

In the SWAT CUP, it has the Absolute SWAT Value.txt to show the min and max range for each parameter.

When we have done with calibration and validation, then we will get the fitted value, right. but that fitted values are outside the range of Absolute SWAT Value.

Example:  After calibration, I get the fitted value of V__SPEXP.bsn is 2.224750
But, in the Absolute SWAT Value.txt, the ranges of V__SPEXP.bsn from 1 to 1.5. Therefore, 2.224750 is outside the range of 1 to 1.5.

And I think the problem why we get the fitted value outside of the Absolute SWAT Value because we define the range of parameter in Par.txt already outside the Absolute SWAT Value at the first place.

Question: Does the fitted value have to stay in the range offered in the Absolute SWAT Value.txt?

Regards,
Leak

SWAT_Edit.exe does not allow a value outside of the range in Absolute file to be placed in the SWAT files. If the value in Par_inf is larger than the max range, it will put it equal to max range. So, if you get something outside the Absolute range, then something went wrong in your files.

Dear Dr. Karim,
Thank you so much for your explanations.

According to your experiences, which file should I inspect it?
