Hi Dr. Karim,
I ran SWAT_CUP for the Nebraska basin USA, located near the Platte River, utilizing the specified parameters for SUFI_2. The provided parameter range represents my final and best calibration parameters. During the calibration phase for the years 1986-2006, the Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE) value achieved was 0.7. However, when applying these calibrated parameters to the validation period spanning from 2007 to 2022, the NSE value drastically dropped to -1.40.
I seek guidance on understanding the reasons behind this significant decrease in NSE during the validation period.
Thank You,
Nikita
