Dear Community,

We appreciate your feedback and understand that pricing changes can sometimes be confusing. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points regarding the recent adjustment to our program’s cost.

Firstly, we want to address the claim that the program was previously available for 100 CHF. This was never the case. At one point, we temporarily halved the price for a two-month period as a special initiative, but the price then returned to the original amount.

Secondly, it is important to note that until recently, we did not have full ownership of the program’s licensing. As a result, we had limited flexibility regarding pricing. Now that we have acquired full rights to the program, we are able to permanently lower the cost. This decision reflects our commitment to making the program more accessible to the community.

Lastly, we have consistently offered free licenses to individuals who genuinely could not afford to purchase one. We have always prioritized accessibility for researchers from developing countries and have granted more free licenses than we have sold – without any conditions attached. All that was needed was to reach out to us.

We value and respect our community, and our goal has always been to support researchers worldwide. We hope this explanation clarifies the reasoning behind the pricing changes and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to accessibility and community support.

Thank you for your continued trust and engagement.

Sincerely,
2w2e SWATCUP Team
