Hi, I have calibrated and validated a SWAT+ model. Now I want to use future climate change data as input for this SWAT+ model to evaluate the response of the future runoff to climate change. I have replaced the climate files including pcp.cli, tmp.cli, hmd.cli, slr.cli, wnd.cli, XXX.pcp, XXX.tmp, XXX.hmd, XXX.slr, XXX.wnd (XXX represent the station name) with the climate change data which was interpolated to get the data of the meteorology gauge station. However, when I run the model, the result does not change. I think there was something that I did wrong. I cannot figure out where the SWATplus CUP programs or the SWAT+ program read climate data (not the pcp.cli, tmp.cli, ..., because I deleted these files, the program works fine).
So, how can we replace the climate data in SWATplusCUP? Could anyone kindly help with this problem?

Check your meteorological and hydrological data if any missing or zero value. Kindly replace them with interpolated value.

It seems you're facing an issue where the SWAT+ model is not using the updated climate data files you've provided. Here's a step-by-step approach to ensure that the climate data is correctly replaced and used by the SWAT+ model in SWAT+ CUP:

1. Check the Weather Input Files Path:
Ensure that the path to the new climate data files (e.g., pcp.cli, tmp.cli, etc.) is correctly specified in the SWAT+ project setup. SWAT+ CUP reads the climate data from the directory specified in the configuration files. Verify that the new files are located in the correct directory and that the project is pointed to this directory.

2. Verify the File Naming and Formatting:
Make sure that the climate files are correctly named and formatted according to SWAT+ requirements. The files should match the expected format and structure, and the station names (XXX) should be consistent with those used in your SWAT+ setup.

3. Update the .fig Files:
In SWAT+, the climate input files are often referenced in the `.fig` files (e.g., *.pcp.fig, *.tmp.fig). Make sure these `.fig` files are updated to point to the new climate data files. If these files are not updated, SWAT+ might still reference the old data.

4. Check for Hard-Coded References:
Sometimes, SWAT+ or SWAT+ CUP might use hard-coded paths or references within the configuration files. Check if any of the configuration files or scripts are explicitly pointing to the old data files and update them accordingly.

5. Re-run the Simulation:
After making the above changes, re-run the model simulation. If the model is set up correctly, it should now use the updated climate data files, and you should see changes in the runoff results.

6. Review the SWAT+ CUP Documentation:
If the issue persists, refer to the SWAT+ CUP user manual or relevant documentation for any additional steps or troubleshooting tips specific to replacing climate data.

By following these steps, you should be able to ensure that the SWAT+ model uses the updated climate change data for your simulations.

Great discussion. To be honest I have the same issue, I have a calibrated model but I cannot shift that calibrated values back into SWAT base model so I can know the impact of climate change with different scenarios

Can anyone give me an idea of work?
I finished the calibration but how can I update the original SWAT modal so that I do the climate forecast with different scenarios?!!
