Dear SWAT-CUP users;

I  successfully completed my SWAT modeling, using ArcSWAT2009. However, I encountered a challenge while calibrating the model using SWAT-CUP 2012. Just after completing the first combination of calibration parameters, it gave me an error message which reads as "forrtl: error <65> floating invalid...". I have attached a printscreen of the error message. I would highly appreciate if anybody can help me fix this problem; or else suggest me anyway out that enables me complete the modeling successfully.

Regards;

I faced the same problem with Melke, but I successfully run my SWAT using ArcSWAT2012. I'm also encountered a challenge to calibrating the model using SWAT -CUP 2012. Please could you let me anyone know how can I solve this problem.

I am seeing precisely the same thing under the same circumstances.  Did anyone come up with a solution to this?

thanks

This is a swat error. It means either there are some strange parameters in your swat files, or some swat files are corrupt. Do:
- make sure swat runs, without swatcup. Just run swat.exe in your main swatcup directory. If it doesn't, make sure your swat project is compatible with the swat.exe version in swatcup
- if swat runs, copy everything from Backup into your  main swatcup directory, check that parameters in par_inf make sense and run swatcup again.
Best,
Karim

Karim - Thanks very much for that.  Unfortunately, no joy.  Swat does not run in the swatcup directory (window opens and then closes immediately).  I am running a 64 bit system and swat 2012, both of which are specified correctly at the setup phase so there should be no incompatibility.  I do see that my watout.dat file is not populated but in the backup folder a populated watout.dat file does exist.  When I copy that into the swatcup directory  it gets written over and I see an unpopulated file once again.  I'm not sure what to make of that.

cheers

David

Copy your swat in to the swatcup directory...

I tried that and still seem to get the same error.  Files such as watout.dat are fully populated on the copy but after running swatcup it seems to overwrite those.  I'll presume that's normal.  I also changed my observation data such that the warm up period does not overlap the observed flow data - hoping that would make a difference.

Hello all, I responded to another post about this same issue but thought I would copy it here also - hope this helps - suggestion from Srini on how to fix this.

I am using a 64bit system and arcswat 2012.  I copied from the arcswat install folder the SWAT_64rel.exe and put that into my SWAT project folder, replacing the SWAT.exe that is in there now (delete SWAT.exe and copy the SWAT_64rel.exe into the same folder and rename it to SWAT.exe).  I am running this now and got past the initial error but seem to be hanging up after the first simulation.

regards

David
