Hi, as I understand from the screen, there is some missing on SWAT-CUP setting setup—the model runs for simulation one, but for simulation number two, there is nothing to do .post for simulation two. Maybe check the number iteration you set at Par_inf.txt and number of simulation in SUF12_swEdit.def have to be the same. Avoid mismatch between the numbers of simulation and iteration. So, check here. otherwise let me share your SWAT-CUP settings to helpus source the error.

Okay, let me do this again: 1. Restore files from backup 2. Set number of simulation and iteration about 200 is recommended in SWAT-CUP from inforamtion I have. 3. Let me share with me the variable _file you set under the Objective function. You extracted it for Reach 1:  FLOW_OUT_1, so may var_file in the objective function be the same as it is?

I hope I have helped you.

I am running my model for 2000–2023, using 2000 and 2001 as a two-year warm-up period. My calibration period is from 2002 to 2015. However, when I set 2002 as the beginning year of the simulation (excluding the warm-up period) in SUFI2_extract_rch_def, I encounter this error. In contrast, when I set the start year as 2000, the error does not occur.

Ohoo Loli, that's the setting of the calibration period: SUFI2_extract_rch.def start: 2000 (actual SWAT simulation year)  End: 2015. Here SWAT-CUP read SWAT outputs by accounting from this year and NYSKIP = 2 too. Note: for calibration period observed.txt have to cover from 2000 to 2015.

So, you resolved it?

But all tutorials recommend specifying the start year without including the warm-up period. So what should I do?

Look,  SWAT-CUP  read NYSKIP = 2, then skip the first two years. then give you output from 2002 to 2015. Don't worry, make the start year 2000 (the actual year of SWAT simulation) and the end year 2015. Be careful at observed.txt  for calibration data have to be from 2002 to 2015.

Hi Tadele,

Would you be able to help me resolve my issue if I share my input files? I have been struggling with this error for the past several weeks, and I still have not resolved it.

Thank you

Tanvir
