Cannot open input file SPE.OUT/ - SWAT CUP Premium

Dear all,

I write to you because I am calibrating the crop yield of a model and I am facing an issue with the post.bat step,m I got a message saying that SWAT CUP Cannot open input file SPE.OUT... (picture attached):

SPE_RUN.Bat runs smoothly. I noticed that SWAT prints the crop yield output including in the warm up days.

In the executable tables:

- SPE_pre.bat : all the commands are checked up

- SPRE_run.bat : checked up

- SPE_Multi_Obj_Post.bat : all commands are checked up

- Spe_Extract: SPE_extract_mgt_subavg_HHK_CropYield.exe and          SPE_extract_mgt_subavg_HK_CropYield.exe checked up

- SPE_Multi_Obj_Valid.bat : all commands check up

Does anybody know what this error is related to?

Hi! Yes, I did.

So in the Var_file_name (it is in the input files under the "Objective Function") you need to add a "HHK_" or an "Hk_" before the name of the crop and the number of basin you are targetting.

In my case was HHK_SUGC_12.txt  because I was calibrating sugar in the basin 12.

I would suggest to check the outputs you got, you can find them in the SPE.OUT folder even if you can't save the iteration. There you can see if you need to add HHK or HK to the crop name. I honestly did not get an answer about the difference between them, but I got full values in HHK while in HK I got values only in one year.
