Hi SWAT CUP Users,

I am encountering different simulation speeds for different SWAT 2009 versions. I have setup my SWAT model with SWAT 2009 version 488 (ArcSWAT 2009). Now I want to calibrate my model in SWAT CUP.

In the SWAT CUP, swat 2009 version v528 is present. I need to replace v528 to v488 in SWAT CUP project directory, as earlier, my outputs were getting changed (Output.std) without changing any parameter .Someone suggested me this solution.

Now, SWAT CUP is taking too much time. Here are the results. I am running 13 years simulation

Run with v488                                          05 min 05 seconds
Run with v488 debug version                     03 min
Run with v528                                          46 seconds

Is there anyone here that can explain this?

Thanks!!

Are there large disparities in run times if running the executables outside of SWATCUP? Did you compile the slow-running v488 yourself?

No, I didn't compile v488 by myself. It came along inbuilt with ArcSWAT v2009.

Outside SWAT Cup, I've been using the same version v488 with ArcSWAT. It was not slow as it is now in SWAT CUP.

Thanks for replying.
