Dear all, I'm new user of SWAT Cup and currently running my undergraduate thesis using SWAT but I'm stuck on doing calibration process for 500 simulations in my PC because I can't do parallel processing. Is there anyone can help me to calibrate my SWAT project? thanks before

The best solution is not the quantity, but the quality.
You might be able to have a good fit for your flow just in a hundred simulations, if the parameters and their value ranges are chosen wisely.
So rather than making more simulations - make smart decisions. First, try to see what is your current model producing. Second, determine where is your model failing (too much water, too little ground flow, etc.). Based on the analysis adjust the parameters that have a direct influence on the problematic area.
This way you could have your model calibrated in a couple of hours.

Best,
Natalja

I've already run one iteration using 4 parameters (CN2, aplha_bnk, gwqmn and gw_delay) over 5 simulations and and the result for r2 is 0.04. This is the command when I run for swatcheck:
Groundwater ratio may be low
Lateral flow is greater than groundwater flow, may indicate a problem
Water yield may be excessive

Can you help me to choose what the best parameters that i've to choose? Sorry i'm still beginner for swat cup.

Currently i want calibrate simulated flow out over observation and based on papers i've read, for large basin it's the best way to run 200-300 simulations in each iteration.

I’ve already read those papers but i’m having problems to understand which parameters that i’ve to choose. I’m so sorry but can anyone help me to solve this?
