elevation bands

Hello Swat users, 

Currently, I am attempting to run replace.exe to calibrate some elevation bands within the model. For some reason replace.exe opens up, but then quickly closes before I can run the program. I have checked privileges and modified the file registry under my user using this youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3gbpCFCs04).

When I try to run it from the command line, I receive the error "cannot open input file TopoRep.txt". The text file privileges seem fine and I can't find any additional issues with the file.

Does anyone have any further ideas as to what could be the problem? Thanks!

Is the file TopoRep.txt there? Perhaps the exe file is corrupted.

Yes, the file is there and I am able to open it using NotePad. I rewrote the fills a number of times trying to flush out any bugs, but no luck. Maybe I am copying the files to the wrong "working directory"? I have copied the UtilityFolder and tried to run replace.exe and Elev_band_CUP under my Simulation folder in Scenarios (Documents) and tried to run it from the Swat-Cup directory under "Sim2.Sufi2.SwatCup".

Everything with elevation band should be done in the same folder. The program is independent of swatcup.

Ok, got it. I reconfigured my files and now have Make_ELEV_BAND folder under "UtilityPrograms" in External Data. My elev_band DEF and txt file are both able to opened in NotePad, and TopoRep is updated from my SWAT project database. For some reason, replace.exe and Elev_band_CUP are still not running correctly.

NO, as I said this program is independent of swatcup. You just need the output of elevation band program (model.in) to use in the swatcup project.

Yep, I downloaded it. I am guessing there is something wrong with my .exe program functions. Same issue.

It may be that your system does not allow copying exe files. Try downloading again. I changed exe to eee. Make them exe again after downloading. See if they run.

Not sure if you figured out the solution yet. I think you need to change number of final sub basin in echo file in "make_elev_Band" as well as in "elev_band.def. Make sure to check model.in file. It should have the same number of subbasin as defined in your echo file in "make_elev_Band" as well as in "elev_band.def
