Campus Happenings
BU After Dark: This Friday from 10pm-2am, come to BU After Dark in the fieldhouse! There will be free food and fun games!
Trivia at Uptown! This Saturday at 9pm there will be a trivia competition in Uptown! Grab your smartest friends and head over to Swartz for a chance to win awesome prizes.
Fueling Your Healthy Body
Whole Wheat Pita Pizzas! Take a whole wheat pita, tear or cut it into two flat pieces. Add pasta sauce (try to find one without added sugar--especially one without high-fructose corn syrup). Add your favorite toppings such as tomatoes, olives, bell peppe, mushrooms, etc. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake in a 350 F toaster oven for 5-7 minutes. Yum!
Wellness Tip
You're awesome! Break the cycle of negative body image by verbally telling yourself and others how awesome you/they are and look. Everybody loves a compliment, and they are really fun to give! :-D Check out this adorable little girl who has her affirmations down pat!
Defining Wellness
Body Dysmorphic Disorder: According to the Mayo Clinic, Body dysmorphic disorder is a type of chronic mental illness in which people can't stop thinking about a flaw with their appearance--whether the flaw is either minor or imagined. People with BDD think their appearance is so shameful that they don't want to be seen by anyone. People with this disorder often seek out numerous cosmetic procedures to try to "fix" their perceived flaws.

I Love My Body: 100 jumping jacks, 75 air squats, 50 push ups, 25 situps for time.
