Hello Loomis 3 & 4!
Welcome back! I hope you all had a fantastic winter break, and that you are staying warm! A special welcome to our new residents: Juli, Tom, Ledge, and Wills!
The new theme this semester is the elements: fire, earth, air, and water. Loomis 3 is composed of fire and air, the two elements that rise. Loomis 4 is composed of earth and water, the two elements that fall.
We had a great semester last fall so let's keep it up. Remember that this is a residential space and that we need to respect each other. So please observe quiet hours and be tidy in the bathrooms. Don't forget to keep your rooms slightly warm; we don't want any bursting pipes! Last semester I suggested an Open Door Policy. It seemed to work pretty well in the beginning, so let's try to start it up again in this spring.
Just a reminder that the Food Bank is still going on in the Baptist Church off of 3rd St. The next session is a week from this Friday and they continue on the first and third Friday of every month. I will not be able to attend this semester, but I highly encourage you to! It is a great way to get outside, and do some community service!
If you would like to keep your door decs from last semester, please pick them up. If you do not want them, please dispose of them.
Thank you to Felicia who was one of our Eco Reps from last semester, and welcome to Kat who will be the new Loomis 4 Eco Rep for this semester. Thanks, also to Abby who will continue to be the Eco Rep for Loomis 3.
The new Recycling Schedule will be going up sometime in the next day or so. Check it to see when it is your turn to take out the recycling. Eco Reps- it is your duty to monitor the recycling, making sure it does not over flow and remind whoever is on duty. The closest recycling station is between Swartz and the Weis music building.
I will be knocking on doors of those who have not returned their yellow RCIs yet, and those new residents who need to sign them.
I am a very open person and pretty easy to talk to! Don't feel shy about dropping in to say hey (
room 312), I'm usually studying or watching South Park. If you really need anything, you can always reach me at
240-506-2377.
Thanks!
Emily
