Gentle Reminders!

Hey everyone!

Hope you had a great Valentine's day and that you are looking forward to Spring Break!! Just a few weeks away!

I wanted to send you an email with a few gentle reminders...

Quiet Hours start at 11:00 pm on weeknights and 1:00 am on weekends. Also keep this in mind during the early morning! Everyone is on different schedules so just be aware of your noise level.

While I am glad people have made a habit of turning off the lights when you leave a room, please leave the lights on in the bathrooms. Swartz has a ghastly mold problem. The maintenance staff asks that we leave all of the lights on in the bathroom otherwise the mold will invade without mercy.

Recycle Mania is happening right now!! Before taking out the recycling, we should be weighing it in the RA lounge downstairs (between 7:00-9:00pm) to enter it in the contest! The winning hall gets free tickets to Chrysalis! Check out the posters on the bulletin board for more information...

I didn't mention this before because we seemed to be doing a pretty good job of it until recently... Notice there is no recycling container for cardboard. That means that you (yes, you) must walk your own cardboard boxes outside to the recycling shed and dispose of them yourself. It is not the custodian's job, the recycler's job, or the EcoRep's job. You can do it, I have faith in you.

Lastly, I know that some people wash clothes in the sinks. That is completely fine, but please clean the sinks with soap and water afterwards (especially if you are washing undergarments). It is important to keep the bathroom disinfected since we all share that space.
