Is there a specific Swarm actor model?

Hi!

The reason I ask is because I know that David Pollak, who crated Lift,
and Jonas Bonér, the creator of Akka, has agreed to use the same actor
API, so that Lift can use Akka actors, if it so wishes.

So, if Swarm has its own actors, then perhaps it would be a good idea
to join the party and use the same API?

BTW, Akka and Swarm are awesome ideas, I wish they could merge in some
insanely useful way.

Currently Swarm uses actors. I am about to create a branch that uses RemoteActors (which uses Actor)
Soon we will probably use Akka, but currently I can't get Akka to build on Scala 2.8 (I haven't tried very hard though)

I talked to Jonas about this, and porting to 2.8 is not part of the
planned 0.6 version of Akka, due in a month or so.

But the next release will hopefully be 2.8 compatible.

I hope you can wait till then.
