All, but especially ZM & QM. I made some changes (and along the way corrected spelling typos) on the wiki page dealing with the Cosca. My addition at the top of the page is below. If there is a problem, let me know.

Some of you may not know that there is a Swarm wiki that attempts to summarize the collective knowledge and general understanding of how the Swarm Cycle universe works. Anyone can read it, but to keep away any malicious modifications, ZM has to give permission to edit. Once grated, you have it and are encouraged to contribute...

Modification:

(Nevertheless, several authors have included references to the Cosca as if they were canon, but avoiding the use of 'forbidden' technology or the concept of extensive use of 'planet-buster' bombs, which are the primary reason Cosca stories are non-canon. The Confederacy prohibits any weapon that could be used for genocide. So general reference to the Cosca and their isolation from the Confederacy is probably okay if care is taken. Be prepared to defend your references with the Swarm authors, full stories within the Cosca 'sandbox' created by Quantum Mechanic are welcome but won't create canon in the main sequence. -MO)

Did you add a section to the article "Canon Schisms"?  No, of course not!  I'll put something in there.  That's where we list all the places where Canon breaks down.  (All, feel free to bring up more.  I know we don't have every canon split listed.)  Okay, done!

I don't remember ever, in the 10 years I've been in the group, coming across  "Canon Schisms"! What a great idea. You are clearly putting in a LOT of time and effort into this resource! Mike

Back when I was doing some reorganization of the wiki I think I set up a "category" for this, and if someone wanted to look at all of the schismatic content they could browse that category to see a listing of all articles that were part of that category.  The page itself would articulate what was schismatic and why.  This avoided duplicate content to be maintaned, which seemed to be an issue at the time.  So in a way, that "page" should actually already exist.

Of course there were some disagreements in my grand plan to "normalize" the content and I did a poor job of explaining why I thought that needed to happen and why, so that category implementation may not really be there in this iteration.  If not, it's easy to add categories to an article.

Hope this is helpful.

Greg - The page does exist - I just hadn't noticed it. It is a very good idea. Not being up to date with coding, I don't know how to link (for example, my comment on the Cosca page to the  canon schism. I don't mess with the wiki much, more in the last few days. Maybe need to learn...

The category simplicity is elegant.  Just add "[Category:Heresy]" to the bottom of the page.  I think that's the category for scisms, although there seems to be a Non Canon Stories page that requires additional maintenance, which kinda demonstrates the issue.

For example, not all Heresy pages are noted on the non-canon stories page and I'm not sure of all non-canon stories are in the Heresy category.  This makes multiple places that have to be edited instead of one and can cause some dispute when something appears in one place and not the others.  For simpler maintenance in my mind, putting a Heresy (or other appropriate) category on a page and explaining it on the page makes much more sense than having a separate, unlinked page for non-canon stories that someone has to deliberately look for and may not have a complete listing.

And you can edit the category listing page explaining what the category is, so it's like free maintenance of a list of things that changes over time that you never have to maintain.  Wikipedia does some things quite well, and this is one of them.
