Problem adding

I went to the google groups help forum. I found an old (2020) post asking for help on the same "direct add' problem we are having. Exactly the same. The final response from the google person was that he/she was able to duplicate the issue and that a button was broken after a recent update. Because google recently 'updated' and 'improved' groups, I suspect they broke the button again. I posted a note on the current problem. We'll see what the guru does...
