Unpublished Stories

Folks, I'm going to start a project that will likely take some time and will certainly need assistance/cooperation.

1) I'm going to ask Laz if we can port stories from ASSTR to SOL.

2) I will look into all Dropbox folders for unfinished drafts and finished but unpublished stories. These I will copy and archive in a separate Dropbox folder. These will continue to be 'owned' by the author, but easily available for reading by members of this group (as they are now, but hard to find.)

3) I'm requesting anyone with unpublished stories/drafts/partials to upload them to Dropbox (I'll give access if you don't have it already). OR they can be sent to me to archive. This would include drafts you have edited/proofs but remain unpublished.

Some of us have discussed what to do if the owner of key domains dies. Archiving the Swarm wiki is one such item. I plan to find a way to keep Dropbox active if/when I go dark.

There is one helluva lot of effort and quality that should not be lost like when ASSTR failed. (I am so glad I pressed lorshipmayhem - Gary Layug - to begin posting R&G and that he had chapters of the unfinished story in his Dropbox folder, and that Laz let me upload the remainder to SOL.

I find it very useful to keep the working copy of my current stories in my Dropbox folder. If you need me to give you access to any folder or to create one for you, send me a note. Access is granted only to members of this group to keep malicious individuals away.

Pretty much rambling - but now you know my intent over the next few months.
