Good morning ladies and gents.

I was poking around yesterday trying to find the 2nd half of a lost story once posted on ASSTR. It looks like someone is trying to bring the site back to life. While the site's search engine isn't functional, it looks like there are some new posts on ASSTR.org...

More importantly, some searches and refinements will bring up the SWARM page as of sometime in 2017 when the site began to die. If you go to Thinker's ols site at https://www.asstr.org/~Thinkers_tales/Stories/The_Swarm/Swarm_main.html you can download the stories not found on SOL

Hurry before ASSTR dies again.

Is there really anything out there that isn’t on SOL?  I’d be surprised.  I have an archive, myself, up to when I couldn’t get in as an author.  I used HTTRAK (or something like that.)

I blew away my whole day yesterday and part of Saturday. Looks to me like the whole darned database is there, just lacking a functional front end. I was able to drill down to the monthly indexes and use them to get into the stories they indexed. A first since before 2017.

I'm using HTTrack to download and index the whole shebang again. Wonderful program.  BUT I'd like a copy of your download as well. Having a belt and suspenders is definitely the way to go. (I started HTTrack yesterday and it is still sucking in files - over 71 thousand so far.)

I should also mention that the FTP seems to be available, but doesn't look like you can get to the same amount of files.

A quick count of my files shows 17 on ASSTR and not of SOL, plus two that Artie took down that I used the WayBack Machine to recover. A lot are 'Just Jack' stories.
