Dear All Members,

I see that the beautification of our building has started. For the same a notice has been put up, which says that the decision regarding this beautification has been communicated over whatsapp. Just a kind information that I don't use whatsapp, and also that whatsapp is not an official means of communication (at least when it comes to taking decisions, where all members of the society are to be considered).

Today I had a talk with Mr.Javli and Mr.Borkar. In this talk, I was presenting my views regarding this beautification work. Also I mentioned that other works like drainage/leakage need attention. To this I get a reply for Mr.Borkar as,

"Aap karo ye kaam. Aap le lo lead. Aap se discuss karke koi fayda nahi. Letter likho mujhe". (in a very rough tone)

It is indeed very surprising to hear such good words from Mr.Borkar, and that too when a society member is presenting his views and bringing to notice about works that need attention.

Can I expect a justification for:
1. Behavior of Mr.Borkar
2. Meetings/communication over whatsapp
3. Beautification purpose and expenses

P.S. Since Mr.Javli and Mr.Sangamnerkar were also present, I do hope that they would not deny today's incidence.

Dear All,

Let me correct what I have said "Aap karo ye kaam. Aap le lo lead. Letter likho mujhe"

"Discuss karke koi faida nahi" this i said to Mr. Javali.

Regarding my tone of voice; I would say that’s how I speak; and in case someone felt bad about it, I am NOT sorry for that at all.

Now coming to my conduct and the objections raised by Mr. Mhala about the lobby work and the water proofing work…and the festival and cultural activities that we conduct.

For past few years we have been managing the society maintenance and functioning.

It takes a lot of efforts in terms of energy and time and also personal money which purely is a social activity.

As you all know how much we have been proactively taking additional tasks related to our building works, cultural activities and overall B- Wing maintenance works.

Mr. Mhala had expressed objections about the Water Proofing work we had done, the Ganapati Festival we had conducted, the Navratri Celebrations we had done and now has objections about the lobby work which is now going on.

Here is what all we do as society works ACTIVELY:

1.       Funds collection and follow-ups.

2.       Bank Deposits and withdrawls.

3.       Accounts Management.

4.       Gardening and Housekeeping. (For Entire B Wing)

5.       Security management. (For Entire B Wing)

6.       Lifts maintenance and contracting. (For Entire B Wing)

7.       Geneset Maintenance (For Entire B Wing)

8.       Water Proofing (For Entire B Wing)

9.       Parking Space management

10.   Gymnasium planning and equipment related works.

11.   Society residents internal disputes resolution

12.   Lobby beautification

For all the above activities, we hardly have any additional hands helping us doing all these.

It is out of our own social belonging and association that we take all this tasks in hands.

With so much of work in hands and not much of time to give we prefer using the most convenient and easily operable modes of communication.

It is not possible or easy for us even to prepare notices and put on displays for all members and also not always it is possible to personally inform all or prepare and send emails.

FOR ALL THE OBJECTIONS THAT MR. MHALA HAS RAISED; I WONDER WHY THESE WERE NOT RAISED EVER…ALL THROUGH THE LAST FEW MONTHS. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK THAT THE LOBBY WORK NOTICE HAS BEEN PUT UP; AND THE OBJECTION HAS BEEN RAISED TODAY.

FOR THE GANAPATI FESTIVAL, MR. MHALA HAD OBJECTIONS REGARDING THE FUNDS (1500 Rs.)WE WERE COLLECTING FOR THE FESTIVAL AND INSTEAD INTIALLY WE GOT A CONTRIBUTION OF ONLY 500 RS. TO WHICH WE DID NOT FOLLOW-UP TO DEMAND EQUAL CONTRIBUTIONS.

MR. MHALA COULD HAVE ALWAYS REACHED OUT TO THEIR IMMEDIATE NEIGHBOURS TO TAKE ANY UPDATE REGARDING THE SOCIETY ACTIVITIES.

IS IT ALSO NOT THE RESIDENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO TALK TO PEOPLE AROUND AND UNDERSTAND AND DISCUSS WHATS HAPPENING ??

It had been more than a year since we had the approval for the lobby work and we were being always asked about its execution.

All this while none of us could find time to take up the lobby work and execute it. We had been collecting quotations and were evaluating each of them. Twice in between we had finalized 2 contractors to do the lobby work, but again we had not been able to execute due other personal priorities.

This time around, we took a more SACRIFICING decision (giving away our personal family and leisure time) to execute the LOBBY WORK.

All members who have been connected to us can understand better how much of exercise it was for us to execute this task.

Myself, Mr. Javali, Mr. Amritkar, Mr. Sanjeev, Mr. Pande, Mr. Patra; we all always discussed and decided on matters collectively and the decisions were always in the best of the interests for the society balancing quality and expenses to optimum.

NOW THAT WE HAVE WORKED ALL THROUGH THE CONTRACTING AND FINALIZED TO EXECUTE THE LOBBY WORK, WE ARE BEING QUESTIONED ON THE DECISIONS THAT WE TOOK.

DEMOCRATICALLY, YES ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO QUESTION AND WE ACCEPT THAT, BUT THE OBJECTION RAISED ARE NOT IN THE INTEREST OF THE SOCIETY AS IT IS NOT JUST THE COMMITTEE’S DECISION ALONE BUT IT’S THE MAJORITIES DECISION.

I THINK IT IS UN-JUST CLAIM TO BE KEPT BLINDED ON THE ALL THE WORKS IS JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE.

ALSO, THE OBJECTIONS MUST ARGUEBLY BE LOGICAL AND SENSIBLE ENOUGH FOR US TO SPEND TIME AND MIND EVALUATING.

THIS INCIDENT HAS SADDEDNED ME A LOT AND I AM NOT READY TO ACCEPT ANY SUCH SICKNESS PRESENTED TO ME.

SWARGANGA B-1 HAS ENTRUSTED THIS RESPONSIBILTY OF MANAGING AND MAINTAINING THE SOCIETY PREMISES AND WE HAVE BEEN RELIGIOUSLY DOING THAT.

IT APPEARS THAT OUR INTELLECTUAL QUOTIENT HAS BEEN PUT TO DISBELIEF.

FOR ANYONE’S EGO, I AM NOT FOR ANY COMPROMISE AND I WOULD PREFER TO STEP-DOWN OFFICIALLY IF THE MEMBERS ADVISE SO.

Not so thankful,

(because you can imagine how much of my personal time it has taken to write this unfruitful email.)

Chetan Borkar.

Thanks and Regards,
Chetan Borkar

Hello Mr. Borkar,

If you can put up misinformation in the mail, that means you have enough time.

Coming to the point of celebration contributions. Initially I did contribute Rs.500. But after getting to know the program agenda from our neighbors, I did make equal contributions. I feel sorry,If you don't have this information.
And also I am surprised , since you included this point which is irrelevant to this discussion. SO IN A DISCUSSION, THE POINT MUST BE RELEVANT, SENSIBLE AND LOGICAL.

Provided other members have interest and time to respond, I would like to hear from them, as in how and when did we express objections for the celebrations.

And regarding your say that I expressed objections for water proofing, lobby work etc. Let me tell you that, asking queries or getting to know about the work is not expression of objection or showing disbelief.

Hi All,

We had a very healthy and open discussion yesterday on the beautification work and we had closed all the relevant points brought up during the discussion.  I would like to personally thank all the members for the active participation and wonderful inputs.

I would request everyone to close this topic now.

Regards,
Rakesh
