In my mind the Power Support screen protectors are fantastic (on my 3GS), although I have gone with a different brand for my iPhone 4. Reviews online for this one look good and it's quite a bit cheaper than the hard to source Power Support screen protector. (Hard to source for iPhone 4 anyway!) I'm a fan of the anti-glare / anti-fingerprint protectors.
Got a Gecko case for my iPad and iPhone 4. Screen protector that came with the iPad was great. The iPhone 4 not so good. Luckily i purchased a bulk lot of screen protectors from hong kong before the iPhone came out. They are much better. In terms of case quality, there are excellent. Even better than the speck case I own.
Exactly. Why people think they need a screen protector on a hard glass screen amazes me.
Plastic screens scratch sure but the glass screen on the iPhones won't.
Sure it will break if you drop it but thats not what the screen protector is for.
Not one scratch on my iphone 3G screen and no screen protector since day one.
I don't have a screen protector to prevent scratches. I use an anti-glare / anti-fingerprint screen protector as I find the screen is covered in smudges very very quickly without it! Wiping with a t-shirt doesn't help... if you don't have a good microfibre cloth at hand then forget it!
I have the Gecko Profile which is a thin one piece hardshell and I think it's great. A bit hard to remove but I don't intend to swap cases around. I tried the included matte screen protector and it was rubbish but I never really intended to put a screen protector on so no disappointment there. The case itself is good though.
You shouldn't go around slagging off a brand just because one of its products doesn't work very well. Do you see people saying 'avoid buying Apple products' because their iPhone 4's antenna has problems?
Well I can say ive purchased many Gecko products and have never had any issues. The screen guards are great quality.
And I recently bought the Gecko vision case for my iPhone 4 and I can say its probably the best iPhone case ive ever had.
There are no flash issues as all. I dont know what sort of agenda your pushing lionel, but I think its grossly unfair you get onto this forum and put up a bunch of lies.
And what a bunch of crap saying JB are only pushing Gecko. They had about 5 different brands to choose from.
The Gecko products are great. I dont have any agenda to push. But I dont like seeing crap post from someone who probably works for a competing brand.
It was the cheapest case in JB, and will do the job nicely for now. Fits snugly around iPhone 4, and is a solid matt black plastic. Has indentations for ports and buttons, so it can be a little difficult getting fingers in for volume etc, but it will protect my phone until the Apple Bumper arrives. Didn't bother fitting screen protector- will wait for power-support to release one.
for what it's worth (maybe a bit late now and perhaps not one near you anyway) but I was in Fone Zone last week and they actually had a decent range of iPhone4 accessories, they even had a 2 page flyer of the iPhone4 accessories at the front of the shop, seems like they got things organised quicker than some others
I thought I was the only one seeing things with the Gecko Clear screen protector bought from JB last Saturday. And Yes, I hate it as well. It seems like there's some oil stain underneath the protector.
I picked up a Gecko vision case from JB and although I like the look of it, I can't stand it when I make a phone call, the bloody thing hurts my ear!! And the anti glare screen guard is like looking through frosted glass at my iPhone 4's lovely screen, what rubbish!! can't wait for my glossy screen guards to arrive and piss this crap off.
I had a gecko case on my 3G for 2 years and a zagg invisible shield(front and back). I'm a tradie and get pretty dirty often and have since removed the shields, to freshen it up before giving it to my wife, and the phone was like brand new underneath.
I now have an IP4 and needless to say I am using zagg again for front and back protection. The retina display looks the same and they have greatly reduced the orange peel effect. I am now using casemate as well for the rubberized case and I couldn't be happier.
After about half a week, things don't look so good so I'm taking back part of what I said. It still fits and does its job as a case perfectly but the soft touch coating scratches off quite easily and it already looks quite worn.
I bought the Gecko vision case too (white).
I thought the case is nice, the back clear plastic cover is a welcome bonus.
The anti-glare screen protector has a nice feel to it, but yeah it affects the quality of the screen.
Love the case... the clear back still makes the iPhone 4 beautiful instead of making it look like a giant eraser like most cases out there. It also protect the phone very well with the front slightly raised to protect the screen and the hard clear polycarbonate back protects that gorgeous glass back.
I got an X2X screen protector from Dr Boom, it says "Screen Guard Professional" on the front pack. It comes with 2 protectors, one for the front and one for the back. It is the best screen protector I have ever applied on any mobile device. It's relatively easy to apply and bubbles are easy to get rid of. It is extremely clear and won't make the screen look like crap like the Gecko screen.
