After all the buzz you've heard the last few days about the great lease agreement ($17,000 bonus and 25% no-cost-deduction royalty) we've negotiated, finally you can begin the process by going to our signing meetings at
February 18, 19, 23, 25, 26, and 29th from 1:30-7:30pm at the Park Springs Bible Church, 5515 Park Springs, Arlington, TX 76016These SWAPO2-endorsed signing meetings will be staffed by the
leasing company Carburante/Corrizo AND by our own SWAPO2 volunteers.
They are homeowners just like you who can explain why this is the best
deal for your neighborhood. Unlike the Dale offer, these are not landmen trying to make a sale on commission, but people committed to your needs and who are signing the lease just like you. Bring your driver's license or other government-issued ID and your spouse if applicable.
Even though we are using the same church at the similar times, we will be in a separate room with SWAPO2 signs so you will know the difference between us and the Dale offer. Drop by early or stay late, since we'll be open longer.
Note that for most of our large SWAPO2 area, Dale is not even allowed to make you an offer at all--you are out of their "approved territory." This is an attempt to split the lease area so that our large community organization cannot exercise oversight over the safety provisions and royalty deductions AFTER the lease signing. If you sign with SWAPO2, your fellow neighbors will continue to watch over Carburante/Corrizo, protect your rights, audit the exploration company's books, and keep our environment safe for years to come.
Don't believe to this common false statement from Dale, which we witnessed at their signing meeting:This is a blatant deception by Dale to get you to sign their inferior lease, and we have already seen Corrizo drilling sites, working and proposed. Chesapeake does intend to drill in our area, but there are a dozen or more possible sites, and they only have ONE site scheduled for 2008 off Sublett.
Don't let Dale just "notarize your
signature" without details on your property, either. We've noticed they
may even try to sign people in the Four Sevens area, which their
exploration company, Chesapeake, has specifically forbidden them to do. You just can't trust them.
