There has been some misunderstanding about the lease signing schedule. Just because your subdivision was not included in the initial signing schedule does not mean you have been excluded or that anything is wrong. Whatever day you signed the letter of intent as an individual, we are going by entire subdivisions. Those areas which had a very high signing percentage, some over 75%, were able to be checked faster and were in the initial signing.

Of course we would all like to be in the first group to sign, and those who organized their neighborhoods with block captains, distributed hundreds of flowers, and convinced their neighbors to join received a higher percentage of signups and were able to be checked quickly at the county records. Also understand that some people are just now signing letters of intent, and they will have to wait much longer than those who have already signed one.

Please understand that we have gone from SWAPO@ group formation to initial check distribution in record time compared to all other groups in Tarrant County. We started this group around January 12th with only two members, had a group meeting with over 500 members on February 12, chose a high bid from a drilling company by February 14, and then were able to sign 2000 residents and start distributing checks by March 15. This is record time compared with any other neighborhood association or drilling company. Other groups like the original SWAPO, which formed three months BEFORE SWAPO2, are just now getting their checks in the mail. Some groups are taking several months just to negotiate a deal and get started.

There are delays in title research at the Tarrant County Appraisal District to an overflow of requests and inferior equipment and personnel supplied by the county. This problem affects everyone in Tarrant County, not just our group. We would rather take an extra few weeks to get it right, to make sure you and everyone else receives the full acreage and bonus you are due, rather than rush out checks too quickly. This has happened before in other areas, and in our area with Dale's initial mailing, and many properties have needed to be corrected later. We are sorry for those who expected checks earlier, but again, we have done all of this faster than any other neighborhood association. Our own volunteers and Carburante have been hard into the night for over a month to get as many signed and as many checks distributed as humanly possible.

You will be informed by US Mail about your particular property and by email when your particular subdivision is ready for signing,  usually two weeks in advance. Please understand that NO ONE WILL BE EXLUCED who is in the SWAPO2 area, has mineral rights, and can sign a lease with us. Please be patient: your lease and bonus are not going anywhere, and you will reap the rewards of higher royalty income in the years to come.

Thanks for your understanding
