Dunstable Town Meeting is Monday, May 10! There is no baseball and
babysitting is provided - free.
The School Committee is requesting a Proposition 2 1/2 override from
taxpayers to maintain the current level of services in the Groton
Dunstable Regional School District.
Dunstable residents must vote at Town Meeting to get the override
placed on the ballot May 17.
Without the override roughly 30 full-time employees will be laid off -
dramatically increasing class size at all levels and reducing programs
such as social studies, health and wellness and foreign languages.
Due to state funding short falls, Groton and Dunstable residents must
make up the difference. This is NOT a district spending problem - the
School Sommittee has been cutting programs and positions for the last
3 years to avoid an override - this is a revenue problem.
Please support our schools and our children.
Sincerely,
Sarah Eisenklam
Committee for Groton Dunstable Public Schools
