Hi.  Just wanted to let you know that all the e-mails have been sent to the SU room parents.  I think you'll also notice I did Ms. Dinneen's class also (I've got house guests this weekend, and I was afraid I'd forget if I waited too long).

Would you mind forwarding this following info to the SU Website? The e-mail address is swallow-...@googlegroups.com.  Thanks! -jodie

Get Out and Vote!

 YES on Question 1

The ballot box on election day is even more critical than town meeting.

We need a BIG turn out at the polls!

ALL voting members of your household must turn out and vote YES
(and encourage everyone you know to do the same!)

  Dunstable Elections
Monday May 17th
Dunstable Library
Polls open 12noon-8pm

Groton Elections
Tuesday May 18th
Middle School or Senior Center
Polls open 7am-8pm

REMEMBER:  Dunstable votes the day before Groton.
Even if Dunstable votes down the override, it is imperative that Groton still vote for it.
 This will keep it alive!

Another Powerful Letter to the Editor

May 11, 2010

To the Editors:

Amid the heated back-and-forth of recent debates about the Groton-Dunstable schools and the proposed override, the principal subjects of the controversy - namely, the children who attend the district's public schools - have been largely forgotten.  It is worth remembering, then, that the educations of the district's children - already significantly compromised by several years of sizeable budget cuts, staff reductions, and disappearing resources - currently hang in the balance. After years of cuts and reductions, the school district finds itself at an unmistakable tipping point...
