Hi SU Families,

Well the end of summer is upon us and we are in full swing planning
our Back to School Picnic & Raffle. We will be having a few planning
meetings over the next couple of weeks and want to invite you to
attend. We need volunteers to help with Set-up, check in, food
servers, clean-up and even ticket counting. If you are available to
help with any of these things please let me know as soon as possible.

Planning Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 2nd at 7:00pm at
SU Science Lab

Volunteer Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 16th at 7:00pm
in SU Cafe' --all volunteers are asked to attend this meeting so that
we can finalize jobs as well as ensure we have all our bases covered
for a fun and well organized event. Remember adults over 18 years old
must fill out a MA state mandated CORI form in order to volunteer,
please do this immediately, it only takes a couple of minutes - just
see Patty in the SU office and bring along a picture id.

Ticket Counting Night will be held on Tuesday, September 21st at
7:00pm in the SU Cafe' --we will need many volunteers as we hope to
have over 20,000 tickets to sort, count and separate. With the new MA
Lottery rules we will have some new recording rules to deal with.
Nothing to difficult but with lots of hands will be made that much
easier.

The APT hopes to raise over $20,000 so that we can continue to support
our SU students, teachers and staff but we can't do it without your
help. Raffle packages will be sent out Friday, September 3rd so be
watching your child's backpack.

Again if you can volunteer please do so! Just a reminder our next APT
meeting will be Thursday, September 9th at 7pm in the Science Lab, all
parents are encouraged to attend.
