Swagger annotations openapi 3 support

Hi,

I am considering to use swagger annotation to document our existing api application, and noticed that the new OpenAPI 3.x has some new enhancements that are quite useful for us. Since there are quite a lot of apis in our application, I am trying to see 

1) will swagger core support openapi spec 3.x anytime soon?

2) how much effort will be needed to migrate to support 3.x compliant annotations if I use the annotations for 2.x spec now (just try to see if it's worthwhile to start a project to use 2.x now, or should I wait for 3.x support)

Bill,

 

The Implementer Draft came out less than a week ago. Give us some time.

We will support it, I can’t give you an ETA.

Support for 3.0 will be a breaking change from 2.0.

If you want something pushed out soon, I’d stay with 2.0

 

Keep in mind 3.0 is not finalized and is subject to change. It’ll take a few more months before it is.
