Dear Sir,
I am very grateful, on behalf of the volunteers of this initiative, for your encouraging words and offer of the Institute's assistance. This is surely a very positive outcome to emerge from our weekend volunteerism.

Best regards,
Gayathri

Madam,

On behalf of the institute, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the efforts that you are continuing to take - to raise awareness and also the necessary steps to maintain our environment as clean and safe as possible. We sincerely appreciate your efforts.

From the Institute side, we assure you of all the necessary support.

I will contact Prof. Ananthasubramanian for the dustbin design. We will discuss with Engg Unit

on their fabrication and implementation.

I will request Prof. Ligy Philip, Chairperson Engg Unit to discuss with you.

In parallel, we will also look into the option of a surveillance camera as a deterrent against

littering and other activities that we want to discourage.

Thanks, again, for all your efforts.

Regards,
David

Subject: A bin for the shopping complex

Dear Sir,
This Sunday morning, Prof. Anantha Subramanian and I found an opportunity to clean the quadrangle and nearby flowerbed in our shopping complex. As I understand, the area is frequently littered by some youngsters who loiter on the surrounding granite seats, and I saw a few pieces of plastic discarded there only a short while after we left. As Prof. Subrahmanian helped me to realize, the work isn't complete until we have taken measures to prevent further littering there. We intend to place a signboard there soon. He kindly offered to contribute an elegant, self-designed monkey-safe bin to be placed near the quadrangle as a further disincentive to littering, and we would be grateful for your permission to take this step.
With regards,
Gayathri
