From our friends at the community garden, please read!
Hey SW Dog Park Friends,
We're your neighbors across the way at the SW Community Garden. I help coordinate the communal section of the Garden, and wanted to see if there's a way you could pass a message on to your visitors?
Since the only access to water in the park is in the garden and dog park, we occasionally have kids hop over the fence to grab a drink, or hose off. However, sometimes they forget to turn off the water, or they decided to run around the garden, unsupervised, and vandalize parts of the garden. If dog park visitors see instances of this, can they email us, tweet, or Facebook us a message? If this message won't be posted publicly, they can also text me at 678-592-3897.
Over the past 3 years we've established some pretty good relationships with a number of kids, and in the past, we've been able to admonish kids for their past transgressions and explain why it's important not to let the water run, vandalize the garden, etc. Additionally, it's shown them that even though we may not be in the garden, there are still people watching over it.
