Dear PAWS of Southwest dog owners and friends:

CALL to ACTION: DC Dept. of Recreation and Dept. of Government Services are coming to SW to give an overview of planned improvements to Lansburgh Park; and to solicit community input. We have been waiting a LONG, LONG time for $$ to be made available for Lansburgh so this meeting is VERY IMPORTANT.  

PAWS has 3 priorities:

1. LIGHTS illuminating the dog park

2. Resurfacing the dog park

3. Water fountains for the kids

DC officials will meet at King-Greenleaf Recreation Center at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 1 to present their plans and then walk over to Lansburgh Park. Please come to either or both locations to advocate for our pups and to show DC officials dog owners use Lansburgh Park EVERY DAY/NIGHT!
