I opened a new issue on github:

I'm happy to make the change if it doesn't break any other use cases.  Is there any regression testing for runSVUnit itself?

Thanks,
Jesse

jesse, there is a test suite but I haven't got much in terms of how to run it so I'm going to try and put together a how-to tomorrow night that explains how to add tests, change code and commit. hopefully from that you can get through a code update and new test or 2 to validate. I'll keep you posted as it comes together.

jesse,

here's the start of a how-to: http://wp.me/P1GmTc-1I9. Not all the details you'll need but it's a decent start.

for now, if you run the testsuite and post the output pass/fail result I can tell you if it's reasonable. you will get failures where you don't have the right simulator loaded (i.e. vcs, questa or ius). if you've got all 3 in your path, you should be left with 3 other failures... which I'm going to try and fix tonight still. related note: tudor has already done some work on 'friendly-izing' the testsuite for people that don't have access to all the big 3 simulators. getting that in will make it easier to interpret results but releasing that is probably a couple weeks out.

work-in-progress...

I created a fork today and ran the tests (before making any changes) and there are 37 tests failing.  After my change, there were still 37 tests failing so I created the pull request on github.
