Guys/Gals,

 

As some of you know, since last more than 10 years, I have been doing some kind of work in India/AP Schools by donating School Uniforms, Play equipment, Books and Lunch Plates and other infrastructure for schools. This is 12th Year that we are doing these programs,  and every year I send out a note to very close colleagues at work and other close friends and now included our Classmates/Friends since last year.

 

I collect small/big donations from these friends and I match 50% for the over all collected amount ( I am matching 50% since last 3 Years, earlier I was also contributing some amount like others) and spending that money to help these poor students in villages.

So far, we have covered about 10,12 Villages in different areas.

 

Last year Contributions were 92,000/- INR and we spent about 31,000 INR and remaining is still with me. With this year collection, have some plans to cover up more schools. Mostly I will be doing this when I visit India every year.

 

Your contributions are much appreciated and utilized properly for the good cause.

 

No separate account is maintained for this, everything comes to me and this will be spent directly by me and not handing over to any one.

one more thing to all friends

our senior batch 1986-90 recently  they gathered for  silver jubilee and  they adopted one school
 which is nearer to renigunta tharaka raama nagar(10kms from tirupati) .they all collected 25K per each and 5k for the function

and 20K means 1200000INR ( they gathered only 60 ) for donating to that school out of which they are constructing one assembly hall ,dining hall , tabs for E learing ,books and some prizes for meritorious students,etc they are all doing good things really hats of to them.

For all this works my boss mr.KVS ramana DE/APTRANSCO is the in charge so i am also following and assisting the works of construction of dining and assembly hall of that school, actually  for the function expenditure that is out of 3lakshs they wasted 1.5laksh for EJ( event Jacky) DJ,VJ etc
 actually for our batch no need of EJ's and DJ's ,every individual is an EJ
and for our seniors it took 10months of time to send invitations and find out the missing members
,for our batch i think

it is easy because of google group and whatsapp group but as our padmanabham is telling that we have to pull all the guys in to the group.

and also we have to find the missing members like radhakrisha of royal Civil ,Thimmayya of ECE etc .any way

our Balu is preparing the list

i hope and wish our batch guys are also would gather in the same way and do some good works like this
 in the year 1988+25=2017.

i request all  to think about it.

Raju,

I am very happy to see this and very proud of you. Any sustainable work that enables the deprived and needy with focus on woman is great. Fortunately I was able to do this with crores of rupees budget through HCLT Foundation and had seen the impact directly. Just 1 rupee per day contribution from the employees on voluntary basis with 50% match from company has enabled it. It was called Power of One. For Diwali, we have also diverted close to 1 crore per year stopping the sweets distribution, which was a long running tradition to employees. We were also careful in mobilizing government where there were works that have to be taken up by them. Please see the following video on Power of One.

We have done things like setting up a factory in central prison for prisoners to do the work to get points for good conduct, which required training and motivating them. Setting up distribution system to take the remaining food from IIT every day, it serves many people in a day. Focus interactions with students in slums, their school dropouts have gone down and they started getting engineering admissions, setting up Water Purification systems in schools, go green initiatives in Chennai and encouraging individuals about doing good. These are some of them. All these things have made every individual involved more happy about what they do, at the end everything, even any business is for people and the community.

I fully support this and let's plan what best can be done that can last for long.

Thanks Jagan. Yea.. I have seen  big size work you guys did in Chennai. That's a Corporate range of contributions to society.
 
Aaa range kaaka poina... koddiga chinna size lo chesthunnam.. Earlier, we have covered Chillakur, Chillamanchenu, Venkatagiri, Dakkili Ozili Mandals in Nellore Dt.
 
I would like to have our classmates as guests for one of these functions. Earlier I had couple of my office collegues, they felt soo happy after seeing the happiness in those Students after taking the uniforms.

Thanks Paddu. MCR Foundation ante.. too much personal avuthondi and registration and maintenance is tough being abroad. We registered "Askahra" for couple of years. But the maintenance is so tough. You need to send Minutes every year with the real signatrues of the board members. Also the registration needs to be renewed regularly otherwise you loose that recognition. So I stopped it after couple of years.
 
Since then, I maintain my own accounts and spend money on my own discretion. This way no one questions me other than people like you who donated :)
 
This time, I will invite you as a guest for that function. You enjoy it being a guest ( Chief) and see the happiness of those kids. Two years back We donated about 160 Uniforms in different schools. Those school kids together arranged a cultural program just for me. I was in a so much hurry to go to Tirumala, but by seeing their inthu.. I adjusted my time and stayed there for extra 3 hours and I really enjoyed. Kids are soo talented.
