Happy New Year 2016 students, friends, seniors and faculty. Going down the memory lane, this group was started way back in 2014 with an objective of bringing together all stake holders of SVUCE onto a digital platform. It was never before that majority of the students and faculty along with alumni were involved in such an online platform to share views instantly and in a dynamic manner. Not just problems being faced by students but also various achievements of students and accomplishments of alumni were and are being shared to date. Going back to the roots, the e-magazine SVUCE ENGINEER was the brainchild of Dr. Naidu Bogineni and the first print edition came out in June 2010. It covered news ranging from activities, alumni profiles and student placement related news and study. About 6 editions were released in hard copies and then it fizzled out. As part of revival efforts, I restarted it in 2014 through an e-magazine version with the help of @Dinesh Ravilla and we actively ran it for about an year with more than 1400 hits during launch month and then it again went into hibernation. However, this social media group is still running with full throttle. The e-magazine website is still up and running and you can take a look at the various articles and ideas shared by fellow alumni and students - svuceengineer.wix.com/svuce1 Now, we have Sai Charan and Ramya Krishna P also actively involved in bringing the e-magazine back to full blossom. I request all of you to share articles, photographs, profiles and news related to our college that you'd like to see published in the 2016 Q1 publication. The primary goal of this FB group and magazine is to share ideas for the benefit of ALL the stake holders of SVUCE! Comments which we may assume are running off in a tangent are just transients and help in learning and moving far ahead towards our goal. I believe that it is an indicator that healthy discussions are welcomed and encouraged in this forum. Thinking about the good in everything and moving forward is something I'm learning over time. Based on my limited experience and from my conversations with other folks, it seems that there is no other prominent online group that has active discussions from people ACROSS GENERATIONS sharing ideas for the benefit of stake holders of an alma mater. This is unprecedented and thanks to all the group members for making this happen. At the end of the day, we are all friends and we work by the slogan
