I've had many days for more than 6 months where throughput made it unusable, mostly
during evening hours. My neighbor next door has a huge tree in the frontyard/backyard.
So this tree blocks my view of the city WiFi transceiver attached to the city light pole.
In fall/winter I can see the transceiver because all the leaves fall off. In the past, I've
had more consistent throughput during winter. I almost never fail to connect to SVU,
it's the throughput that's the problem. My SNR is in the 20 range and no RX errors and
the usual TX errors (3). I'm located on TICE drive, Milpitas.
If you need more info, please let me know. Today (right now) WiFi throughput is acceptable.
If I did purchase an outside router would that overcome the throughput issue ? Julian

Hi,
Is SVU working lately? My area not working (Mesa Verde dr.) for two days.
I also tried the corner of Lendess/S. Victoria, it doesn't work too.
Tks, York

Today I called the City phone# listed within that post. Nick explained
City staff are not responsible for it's operation. He thinks they
(third party and
Google) are working out the problem.

Now, I know what you mean.
It has been 6 weeks from Nov. 19 until now and counting that ENTIRE Milpitas WIFI is down and Google had not done a thing to fix it!  Milpitas
