For several months now my pepwave 200 continues to connect to a SVUnwired node with excellent strength. It is placed outside and it is able to see 4 to 5 nodes, around Murphy park. However, the usual terms and service page does not appear when opening the web browser. Have tried multiple laptops, cell phones, and  web browsers (via router connected to pepwave). I have also tried connecting to the pepwave directly bypassing the router and reseting the device to original mfg settings. Which was a mistake. I had to do a google search to figure out how to redo the settings.

Also tried a ALFA AWUS036H usb adapter on my laptop outside. It also showed high connection strength: signal strength 95% / link quality 92% /speed 40 to 50 Mbps

I am starting to believe that the issue is SVUwired, not the hardware.

Has anyone connected successfully to the internet using the nodes around Murphy park or near St. Vincent de Paul church? If not, then it is a SVUnwired issue.

I am seeing excellent signal strength (from two different devices). What gives? thx in advance.

Anyhow, please reply if you have any info or data to share. Reading through other posts in this forum, I feel pessimistic. But it never hurts to post the issue. Maybe someone will see this and realize there is a connection problem in this area (assuming SVUnwired is the problem).

You are correct, the problem is not with the local transceivers, it is the connection to the internet which is provided by Google. The internet connection has been down now for over 1 month and I have complained to the city's IT department but there isn't anything they can do since Google must fix the problem. And Google has been dragging their feet and will not even provide an estimate of when they will fix the problem.

Thanks for your reply. It really helps to know the root cause. I was contemplating purchasing new hardware, searching for drivers, etc. Now, I'll just wait. thx.

The difference is that Milpitas WiFi was actually worked great between 1/1/2013 - 11/19/2013 (at least at my home with $300+ Modem & Antena. I bought).  On 11/19/2013, Google did something and then gone completely.  Gogole stopped routing out any traffic from Milpitas Network.

Called xfinity.  It's painful.  It asked to SSN and birthday.  If you don't give them, they ask for Deposit on top of "professional" installation.  I finally gave up xfinity.  I don't have phone (land line) any more and can't even get DSL any more.  What's my option?  Looks like McDonald daily.
