Hey everyone,
I called Milpitas IT dept. Evidently, Google abandoned Milpitas. Silicon
Valley Unwired is a non-profit organization formed between Google, City of
Milpitas and another hardware company. Milpitas provides WiFi equipments
left by Earthlink when they failed their wifi business in Milpitas. Google
provides routing and maintaining the wifi network. Google decided they no
longer wants to support City Free WiFi. Hence, SVUnwired is no longer
exist. "SVUnwired" access points becomes "Standalone" access points. But
evidently, Milpitas IT Dept. needs Google help get it going. I won't hold
my breath. I'm getting XFinity now.
