svn error(XML data was not well-formed)

Hi,

I have been using svnX client for almost 2 years now. Few days back I
upgraded my mac to OS X lion, since then if I try to use svn server
url starting with http, I am getting following error:

svn: XML data was not well-formed

I am not sure of the reason, can anybody please guide me what could be
the reason.

Which versions of svnX & Subversion are you using?

What do you do immediately before seeing this error?
What command does the Activity window show?

I am using svnX 1.3 and Subversion 1.6.9

Yes, this is the full message. This used to work till task week on my mac. I have checked the links on another macbook(having snow leopard) and it works fine there. I have checked the link on windows as well, I can use all svn commands using tortoise SVN.

What do you do immediately before seeing this error?

I strongly recommend that you upgrade to Subversion 1.6.17 or at least
use the Subversion 1.6.16 that comes with Lion.
I don’t know where you got your Subversion 1.6.9 from but v1.6.17
contains many relevant bug fixes.
CollabNet provides a recommended build for OSX 10.7 here:

Have you tried using Subversion from Terminal?
I would imagine you will see the same error.
Subversion 1.6.9 predates Lion by quite some time & I wouldn’t bother/
risk trying to use it.

I don’t see any screen-shots.
It would be better to simply copy & paste the relevant command line
from the Activity window;
and to just state which menu item you selected or which button in
which window you clicked.

Hi ,

i'm facing the same issue on OS version 10.9.5.Error is displayed as 

svn: E130003: XML data was not well-formed.

I tried on the different working copies but all in vain.I'm not been able to take the checkout from the SVN. SVN i'm using is version 1.3. I also tried with making the change in path to svn libraries folder in SVN prefrences and deleting the svn and again freshly installing the SVN ,but nothing seems to work. Please help if anybody finds the solution.
