Subversion FAQ 翻译细节请教

       今天检查了Subversion FAQ一部分翻译，有几个地方不是太明确，请教一下各位：

 

主要问题是标明红色的部分。

1、To take over the CVS user base（此处user base：用户基础，or基础用户？）

2、It's ready for prime-time production。（它是一款非常成熟的产品！）

3、Subversion was already being used by dozens of private developers and shops for real work（发挥了正真的作用）

4、So we stuck to that same standard.（所以我们一直致力于这一标准）

5、。。。，except that it will not host a Berkeley DB repository on Win9x platforms (Win95/Win98/WinME), because Berkeley DB has shared-memory segment problems on Win9x. FSFS repositories (introduced in version 1.1) do not have this restriction; however, due to a limitation in Win9x's file-locking support, they also don't work in Win9x。（整句？？？？）

6、svnserve speaks a custom protocol（定制的？）

7、Thus, the interpretation of what constitutes a project in the repository is left entirely up to the users. (This is similar to how branches and tags are conventions built on top of copies, instead of being basic concepts built into Subversion itself.) 

8、Thus, the advancing revision number marks the progress of the repository as a whole，。。。（不断增长的修定版本号码？）

       今天检查了Subversion FAQ一部分翻译，有几个地方不是太明确，请教一下各位：

对，应该是用户基础，这里是说CVS有大量的用户，就是用户基础，这是一个比较常见的说法吧。
 

2、It's ready for prime-time production。（它是一款非常成熟的产品！）

prime time  
 黄金时段 
我想他的含义是，这个产品已经进入了黄金时段，这个黄金时段指的是年富力强，也就是说不是开始，也不是衰败，就是最佳时刻。可能这个翻译不是很清楚，你可以想个好词。

3、Subversion was already being used by dozens of private developers and shops for real work（发挥了正真的作用）

shops应该是公司的或者单位的意思，这里应该就是说 真正在用，而不是试验。
发挥了正真的作用？错了，应该是真正。

 

4、So we stuck to that same standard.（所以我们一直致力于这一标准）

没问题吧？

BDB的版本库运行在(Win95/Win98/WinME)上有问题。

Subversion服务器（例如，版本库端）同样，唯一的例外是在Berkeley DB的Win9x(Win95/Win98/WinME)作为平台的主机上，因为Berkeley DB在Win9x平台上共享存储器的有段问题。FSFS版本库（从版本1.1开始引入）没有这种限制；然而由于Win9x对文件锁定的支持限制，他们仍然不能在Win9x的平台上工作。

原文应该是发生了变化，我们应该按照最初的版本翻译，然后再和最新的版本同步，我们翻译开始对应的官方修订版本是r31819。

应该是自定义协议。

这几句也是新加的吧？ 应该翻译为  完全依赖于用户自己的解释

应该是把？
