WiFi on MacBooks

Every night around 10 or 11 pm my computers, a MacBook Pro and a MacBook Air lose the WiFi connection to the internet.  It took me a long time to figure out that it is only the computers that have this problem. I verify it by running the Speedtest App, which on the computers says it cannot connect to the internet. I then go to my iPhone and iPad to run the speedtest and they are fine and do run the test. I go back to the computers, and they still cannot connect. Restarting the computer usually works, but I would like to know why this happens as restarting is a pain.

Any ideas?

 My iPhone and iPad have no problems

Maybe,
unplug the power to your WiFi router for a few minutes, plug it back in, (repeat that every week).

Have you thought about simply using Safari (or other web browser) to bring up your favorite webpage to check your Internet connection.

It is because web pages are not loading and/or Safari gives me notice that there is no internet connection that I know it isn't working. Then I go to the Speedtest and it also tells me there is no internet connection. It is very.weird.
