MEETING TOPIC: Stop Treating AI Like Google Search
Most of us use AI like a search engine: ask a question, get an answer, move on. But it can do far more. Dan will discuss three levels, from asking better questions, to working alongside AI on your own files, to handing off whole tasks, with an eye on your privacy throughout. You'll leave with practical ideas to try this week, with whatever AI you already use. Dan speaks from real hands-on experience, having put a wide variety of AI tools through their paces.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Dan Foy
Dan Foy is a member of the SVMUG organizing committee. He spent his career in software, from developing games at Sierra and Electronic Arts (EA) to product management for the Wikimedia Foundation. These days, he enjoys exploring and making the most out of iOS and Mac software. His interests include online security for the average person and, more recently, how to get real work out of AI. He builds automations with AI agents to handle everyday tasks, and runs AI models locally on his own Mac.
