I just found this in my Junk folder. It was sent to me from me supposedly on November 25, 2025. I ran the free version of Malwarebytes and it found no threats. Does it detect Troojans?

What do I do with it? I don't go on porn sites so I'm not worried about that part. How do I tell if they spoofed my email or actually broke in? I use fairly complicated passwords so it would have taken years to break it. 1Password rates it as Excellent. I didn't click on anything, although I didn't see a link.

About few weeks ago I have gained a full access to all devices used by you for internet brows ing. 
Shortly aft er, I star ted re cording all in ternet activi ties done by you.

Below is the sequ ence of events of how that ha ppened: 
Earlier I purchased from hackers a unique access to dive rsified email ac counts (at the mo ment, it is really easy to do using inte rnet ).
As you can see, I mana ged to log in to your email account without breaking a sw eat (beva...@mac.com).

Within one week aft erwards, I installed a Trojan virus in your OS av ailable on all devices that you util ize for logging in your email.
To be frank, it was some what a very easy task (since you were kind enough to open some of links provided in your inbox em ails ).

With help of that useful so ftware, I am now able to gain access to all the co ntr ollers located in your devices (c am, mic, keyboa rd).
As result, managed to download all your photos, per sonal data, history of web br owsing and other info to my serv ers without any probl em s.
Mo re over, I now have access to all accounts in your messen gers, social networks, emails, contacts list, chat history - you name it.
My Trojan virus conti nues refreshing its signatures in a non -stop manner, hence it rema ins undetected by any anti virus software instal led in your device .

So, I guess now you finally unde rstand the reason why I could never be caught until this em ail .

During the pro cess of your personal info co mp ilation, 
I could not help but notice that you are a huge admirer and regular gu est of web sites with adult content.
You endure a lot of ple asure while che cking out porn websites, watching nasty porn movies and reaching breat hta king orgasms.
Let me be frank with you, it was really hard to resist from recording some of those naughty solo scenes with you in main role 
and compil ing them in special videos that expose your mas tur bation sessions, which end with you cum min g.

In case if you still have do ubts, all I need is to click my mouse and all those nasty videos with you will be shared to friends, colleagues, and rela tives of your s.

The email Bev received is a scam, as she detected. Additionally, there is very little chance that the scammer has actually accessed her computer at all. The scammer is counting on causing panic-driven actions.

1. I agree with Mr. Brown,
2. STOP opening email and messages from those you do not know! This is the best anti-spam move you can ever make. Note the strange way this message is written with spaces in inappropriate places. ( I cannot tell if those spaces were put here by the writer or something you did will preparing it to send to this mailing list. ) Bad spelling, bad grammar, and other very obvious writing errors give clues as to the author’s English abilities and true intentions and provide clues as to the authenticity of the message itself.
3. In your Apple mail app go to the sidebar thumbnails. Right click the message subject name and move down the window which opens and click on - “Block Contact”. There are a couple of other options which (might) be helpful. I use an App called “SpamSeive”, mark the message as Spam then immediately delete.
4. If you read this writer’s words carefully they do not appear to me to be describing specific things he/she did to you and your computer. This may also be a clue as to whether what the message says is fact or fiction!
5. Lastly, you may want to go over setting and presences to see if anything there will help your problem. Perhaps someone reading this massage can help us. I am sure I read somewhere that “closing down” the Mail App will cause it to “permanently” delete items for which you have specifically requested deletion to be immediately and forever deleted from your machine!!!

Wish I could say that following the above suggestions will totally eliminate spam and unwanted messages from unwanted senders, but the scumbag perpetrators AND THIER MACHINES WORK DAY AND NIGHT TO MAKE PROFIT FROM DOING NOTHING OF VALUE TO/AND FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, and agreed.

They call this particular kind one of a category to scare folks, “sextortion” spam/scams,  as they are trying to scare folks, to avoid becoming embhassased, into blindly reacting and sending the criminals money, nothing more. Full stop.

They have really nothing, but can say scary things and intimidate folks into blindly reacting and sending money to the criminals.





As others have said, best things are to become educated, learn to recognize ‘red flags’ and alarm bells should be going off in your mind when you see such things, and when in doubt, ask your trusted sources, such as this email list to double check and make sure things are what they are, BEFORE taking any action. ’Street smarts’ for the cyber-age.

Robert is spot on.

This is a very common generic ’scare-spam’ type of spam.

They’ve NOT installed any trojans on your computer, nor anything else of interest. They can fake your email address, and that means nothing, does NOT mean that your email account has been compromised. 

They are just trying to scare folks into fear reactions to send money to the criminals.

Mark as spam, ignore, and delete such emails.

FYI: This very same kind of email has been going around for years now, it’s nothing new, it’s fake, not real, and no threat at all.

Bravo, very good that you are aware and can ask around and double check on such things too, always best to be safe and ask your trusted sources and friends, such as on this email list.

It is a shame that the criminals try to scare folks into reacting without giving it careful thought and using their street smarts, but that’s what criminals and spammers/scammers do...

Some extra points:

1) The odd spacings, word breaks, and strong peppering of Unicode characters (international letters that just look mostly like letters you know) are specifically added to confound the spam filters. It’s a running race between these sorts of messages, and the better A.I. based filters trying to delete these without also deleting emails you actually care about.

2) The first premise — “Look, I’m sending this from your own email!” — is utter poppycock. It is trivial to use your name as the email’s “from” address. Look through the raw email headers (if you can parse them) to see where it really came from.
