Warning:

Yesterday, I was a victim of a malware scam, I mistakenly clicked on
sponsored advertisement on Facebook that said I had two FB messages,
and a screen popped saying that Microsoft Defender found Malware on my
computer and that I had to contact Tech Support to remove it, and I
could not get out of the screen, it covered all of it including my
Dock icons. Esc, Esc+Option+ Command would not work, my mouse worked
but clicking on the close option on the top corner also did nothing.
I immediately powered off, and power back on and then closed the
browser window that had the exploit. I cleared my browser history, and
cookies which logged me out of facebook. I also ran Malware mystes and
nothing was found.

Why does Facebook allow such ads, don't they check them for exploits?

This is the screen capture of the malware scam again on Facebook ads, this time I did not click on it, I also reported it to Facebook.

Jose :-)
