Plot summary
Sonu (Sanjay Dutt) and Monu (Govinda) are the sons of wealthy businessman Amirchand (Kader Khan), who is fed up with their mischief and pranks. He decides to separate them by sending Sonu to Goa and Monu to Mumbai. Sonu arrives in Goa and meets the Verma family, consisting of Gulzarilal (Anupam Kher), his unmarried sister Santho (Aruna Irani) and his two daughters Pooja (Pooja Batra) and Ritu (Karisma Kapoor). Sonu falls in love with Pooja and pretends to be a rich businessman. He calls Monu to act as his uncle for the marriage proposal. Monu agrees and comes to Goa, where he falls in love with Ritu. However, he also attracts the attention of Santho, who has a crush on him.
Meanwhile, Amirchand's rival Bhai (Ashish Vidyarthi) is a notorious gangster who wants to take revenge on him for mocking him. He sends his henchmen to kidnap Amirchand's sons, but they mistakenly kidnap Gulzarilal instead. Bhai realizes his mistake and releases Gulzarilal, who is grateful to him for saving his life. Bhai then decides to use Gulzarilal as a pawn to get close to Amirchand and his sons.
As the wedding preparations begin, Sonu and Monu face many challenges from Bhai, Gulzarilal, Santho and their own lies. They also discover that Pooja and Ritu are not sisters but cousins, as Gulzarilal had adopted Ritu after her parents died in an accident. Sonu and Monu manage to overcome all the hurdles and confess their true identities to Pooja and Ritu, who forgive them and accept their love. Amirchand also arrives in Goa and reconciles with his sons. He approves of their marriages and invites Bhai to join the celebrations.
