You are invited to join the google group Sikh Community Network. It's purpose is to connect us to each other around the world so we can be united and there to support each other as and when needed. Also allow us to  organize if ever needed. 

The GROUP is welcome to all Sikhs that wish to focus on gurbani, our heritage, learning, sharing, connected to one another, community projects, support one another, and amplifying Sikhs on the global stage. 

The GROUP is NOT a space for nationalism, attacking other religions as a whole or creating hate against attacking or promoting  India, Pak, Kashmir, or Khalistan or related. Def not a place to promote RSS thought or similar. 

This space is inclusive and focussed on the common spaces of our community. With love for our Gurus and the message of IK Onkar at the center Of course there are times where discussions may have elements or info related to such information to be informed or require us to act to protect our community. 

 

The group will stay self governing as long as we can manage to stay in these spaces of conversation and information sharing. If individuals disrespect each other, use it for excessive personal or business promotion, nationalism, fake, divisive or hate driven information, then governance will be required. I hope we can avoid this and am sure we can choose to use this space as a virtual unifying space for all of us. like our global village. 

Let's Share, Learn, Inspire, Connect..So we May Grow and Act with 'Ik Onkar' always in mind.

SECONDLY - HOW To UNSUBSCRIBE from GROUPS YOU WANT OUT 

Some of you from other groups asked how to unsubscribe from groups. There has been an uptick in groups trying to subtly dismantle Sikhi, promote RSS or Hindutva, extremism, etc.

Please follow these steps

1. go to https://groups.google.com/
2. Type in the search bar the name of your group or the google group email address
3. In the results, click on the group you wish to leave /unsubscribe
4. In the center of your browser you should see a list of conversations
5. One the left side, you should see a list of options. Select 'membership settings'
6. you will see your personal settings for that specific google group, and on the top right you should see the 'leave group'
7.  Click on "Leave Group"
8. This step will confirm and will allow you to unsubscribe from the specific google group.
