I'm working on a SVG editor-animation project for SCADA systems. The
project is working in beta, and the animation also works under SVGWEB.
Examples can be seen live at http://www.zeware.com/projects/SVG-Editor/default.asp.
Any sugesstions and comments are wellcome.

Some of the animations look nice, but it's unclear from the website
exactly what's available. I'd like to see a page or demo that showed:
the controls available, how to bind them to data source, what options
are available for scaling, etc. In short, a real HMI screen in view
and edit mode.

Have you seen this paper from the SCG open?

Thank you for your interest.

The project target is SCADA IDE in web browser. There "OPCzWorker"
SCADA with integrated ASP web server. You can download SCADA tutorial
from our site.

For now, the project SVG-editor-animation is separated from tutorial.
However, in the svg-editor package is a SCADA with SVG editor-
animation. The SVG editor has built in auto-complete for every Tag
field in the properties dialog from SCADA data list. Also, there are a
built-in switch from the SVG edit to run mode, and vice versa. This
allows for quick work on the HMI interface.

However, the system is still in development, and this is only
technology demo. Please, download our SVG-editor project, and try to
create animation. Glad to hear your comments.

SCG open is great project, but we are on other way (no IIS, no .NET,
no VISIO, just our SCADA and your browser).

Hi,

I work with a company that designs systems for use with Opto22
controllers and hardware. I'd like to knwo whether OPC client
support is available for use with this package as I'd love to use some
of the animations available.

Martin,

Our SCADA 'OPCzWorker' has integrated OPC client. For communication
with equipment (such as Opto22) you need OPC server from Opto
manufacturer, or some of the common protocol servers such as modbus
OPC server. Our SCADA can use multiple OPC clients at same time, each
in connection with other OPC server.

Please download our tutorial from http://www.zeware.com/OPCzWorker/default.asp.
I must warn you that we are now suitable for SCADA OEM specialists
(there are no user friendly IDE). SVG editor-animate is in development
status, and not jet integrated with SCADA. Missing alarm binding will
be available soon. Then the project will be integrateed with SCADA in
the form of HMI interface.

Anyway, you can download current project
http://www.zeware.com/Projects/SVG-Editor/downloads/svg-editor-zeware_V0.2b.rar,
and build your test. Evaluate license is included, and valid to
2011-01-01.
