Hi everybody,
Thanks for developing such great tool - SVGWeb!
I develop service for embedding mathematical formulas & graphics in web pages.
Server renders math into PNG image and serves it on demand.
Although it works well, PNG has huge disadvantage - it doesn't scale well with the text on the page.
SVG looks as very promising alternative. The only problem - zoo of browsers with different support of SVG.
I plan to use SVGWeb to solve this problem.
I have several questions in this connection:
1. (Main) Is it possible to insert SVG graphics in a line of text using SVGWeb? Control its vertical alignment using CSS or else?
I need this for inline formulas - see this image for explanation:
2. There are can be many small SVG images (formulas) on one page - how this can affect rendering performance?
Is it possible to render 30+ small SVG object on a page with acceptable speed in browsers where SVG is not supported naitively?
3. I want to store SVG graphics in external .svgz compressed files, and insert them on page a-la <img> style - just providing url to .svgz file.
Would it be possible combined with two other questions?
Thanks in advance,
Pavel Holoborodko.
