sventon Scalability queries

i am in the process of finalizing the GUI search engine tool for search engine. I have few questions before finalizing it.

 

1) what's the maximum size(scalabilty) that sventon tool can support? (Tera Bytes?)

2) whether the indexing of files and viewing of files in GUI can be separated.

3) whether the initial scan or indexing is multithreaded or how the initial scan works?

4) whether the index will be updated automatically on post commit or we have to stop and start for re index.
