Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead E-Commerce Front End Developer with 10+ years of experience specializing in the Retail and Consumer Goods sector. This is a fully remote role that demands expert knowledge in E-commerce and different commercial offerings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in UI design, responsive development, and front-end architecture, with mandatory hands-on experience in React JS, Next JS, Redux/Saga, and Node JS. This role involves significant leadership responsibilities, including code reviews, mentoring offshore teams, establishing efficient client processes, and serving as the lead for all user experience and design projects on the direct-to-consumer platform.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Development
- Analyse UI issues, identify root causes, and develop action plans.
- Do code reviews and provide technical guidance and advice for complex issues.
- Provide guidance to the UI team in terms of UX/UI development approach and mentor team members.
- Serve as lead for all user experience and design projects, including creation of information architecture, wireframes, personas, and user journeys.
Front-End & E-commerce Expertise
- Excellent knowledge on E-commerce and different commercial offerings.
- Expertise on UI design, responsive development, and front-end architecture knowledge.
- Maintain ongoing design excellence by incorporating customer feedback into overall UX/UI design.
- Diagnose and quickly fix conversion challenges in partnership with third-party agencies.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Work with clients to establish efficient ways of working.
- Collaborate with client teams and Cognizant design/backend/frontend development teams, as well as external partners/vendors.
- Estimate UI development efforts.
- Manage risks/issues and prepare mitigation plans; identify and manage project dependencies.
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Knowledge on SEO – Google Tag manager, AB testing.
