Annual Trash Run - 2012 - 3rd June 2012, Sunday

There is tons of trash. We will try to clean up atleast 2 to 3km on People's Plaza Road. Some of the runners can run for 3 to 4km and walk back and pick up the trash along the way. Rest of the volunteers can start picking the trash from the start point. The both parties will meet in the middle somewhere.

Place:                      Necklace Road

Meeting Point:          First Parking Lot close to the People's Plaza
Date:                       3rd June 2012, Sunday
Meeting Time:          5:45AM
Start Time:               6:00AM

Plan:                         Pickup trash across 3 sections
                                Section1 -- Between NecklaceRoad Rotary and People's Plaza
                                Section2 -- Between People's Plaza and Eat Street
                                Section3 -- Between Eat Street and Ohri's Food Court

Distance:                  All three sections together could be about 2.5 km.

Time Estimates:        Took me about 25 minutes to walk the distance and I am the slowest walker. So, I am thinking if would take about 2 to 3 hours.

Food and Water:        Breakfast and Water will be provided.

What to Wear:           (1) wear long pants (jeans preferably) as we will be cleaning on lake side on the berm right next to water
                                (2) Shoes

Other Details:             (1) Trash bags and Gloves would be provided
                                 (2) Roving Trash mobile will be there to collect trash bags

Misc:                         Bring your best attitude!!!!!!!!!!!!!
                                 Talk to your family, friends and colleagues into helping out 

 The other interesting tidbit about that weekend .... It sort of  coincides with Environmental Day, which falls on 5th of June .... Hope that motivates more people to come along for the run and the cleanup.

Ideally, I would like to see as many people as possible so that we can make a valuable contribution in making the Necklace Road and Hussain Sagar a pleasant place for diverse activities.
