The 4th H.O.T. & Food Conference

We are delighted to announce that the 4th H.O.T. & Food Conference (Health-Oriented Tourism & Food) will be held at GATE (Global Academy of Tourism & Hospitality Education) in Kathmandu, Nepal from 19 to 21 April 2025. The due date of submitting your abstract is 20 March 2025.
This conference has previously been held biennially in Japan (2017), Malaysia (2019), and Thailand (2023) under the name of ICOHOTH (International Conference of Health-Oriented Tourism & Hospitality). The event now has a new name embracing many aspects of food science and will be hosted annually from 2025 due to the mounding demand for discussion of these topics.
We would love to invite those of you from academia, industry, governments, NGO’s, students, and associations who are interested in this fascinating field of health-oriented tourism, hospitality, food science, and leisure to exchange and develop state-of-the-art research and industrial case studies on its development. All submitted abstracts will be subjected to a rigorous double-blind review process by an international scientific committee and will be published in the conference proceedings based on the reviewers’ recommendations.
Publication Opportunity: 15 to 20 selected best papers from the conference will be published in the International Journal of Tourism Research (Q1 in SSCI, impact factor 4.1, published by Wiley in the UK) by 31 May 2025, in a fast-track publication process. If you want your work to be considered one of the best papers of the conference, you should submit the full paper (not exceeding 10,000 words all inclusive) by 31 March to hotfo...@outlook.com, in addition to submitting a 300-word abstract.
There will be Open-Topic Sessions (OTS) that welcome and discuss other general topics in tourism, hospitality, events, leisure, food, and management, which are not specifically fit the topics listed above. Any OTS & online participants are also equally eligible to contend for best papers.

Early-bird rate for academics/practitioners (by 31 March): $350 (in person)*, $280 (on-line).
General rate for academics/practitioners (from 1 April): $420 (in person)*, $335 (on-line).
Flat rate of International Journal of Tourism Research editorial board member: $250 (in person), $200 (on-line).
*Includes conference proceedings, access to full conference sessions, conference meals, and gala dinner, excluding accommodation.
*All rates are in US Dollars.
