SSVDP Omaha District President's meeting and my notes

Normally, I would try and cover what was covered at the President's meeting, but this one has so much material, it just isn't possible.   I have some notes below to describe what is going on.  I will bring some of the notes over to the agenda in case there are questions.

1. Council meeting packet - one of the largest and it contains a lot of information.

pages 3-6 are the last meeting minutes.

pages 7-27 is all new for the meeting

page 7 - Kevins mini highlights

pages 8-19 is Phase I - District Strategic Planning Update.  Lots of material

page 20-money

2. My notes:

a. Ryan funds are in $2M.  So no interruption on Ozanam and other items.

b. Jill gave a quick talk on the "Start with Why' book.   See the two attachments.

In general Why should be the center of the mission - it is a core belief

How would be next - what actions are needed to achieve the why

What last item - results, services provided

c. Long discussion on twinning all centered around privacy issues.  This also impacts the helpline emails that I receive.  We can discuss it at our next full meeting. 

3. Farewell, thank you and birthday party Pot Luck is 2 June 5:30pm, Parish Center.

4. Next full meeting is June 16, 5:30pm Knights of Columbus .  Plan on 90min.
